1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the SmallShifts mobile application ("App") and associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

2. Not Medical or Professional Advice

SmallShifts uses artificial intelligence to generate reflective journaling prompts, behavioral insights, and gentle recalibration suggestions. You expressly understand and agree that this service does not constitute clinical psychology, medical advice, therapy, or professional pediatric counseling. The insights generated by our LLM architecture should be treated as guidance and subjective observation. Always consult a qualified professional for serious developmental inquiries.

3. Subscriptions and Payments (Premium)

SmallShifts operates on a freemium model with advanced features requiring an active Premium subscription processed through the Apple App Store.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store Account Settings after purchase.
• If you delete your SmallShifts account, you must still manually cancel your recurring subscription in iOS Settings to avoid future charges.

4. User Content

You retain all intellectual property rights to the journal entries, moments, and media you submit. By uploading content, you grant SmallShifts the right to securely process this data on isolated edge functions for the sole purpose of returning generated insights back to your device.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service and insights are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance. SmallShifts does not warrant that the AI output is completely accurate, error-free, or will create guaranteed outcomes.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall SmallShifts, nor its directors, employees, or developers, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the service, or any decisions made based on AI-generated suggestions.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
